Earth Day Jam 2007
It was held last April 20, 2007.
After my duty at the hospital, Don decided for us to hang out at Timog QC along T.Morato street and/but didn't know anything about the event. While driving around the streets at 4pm looking for parking space, we heard an advertisment about the event that was playing on NU107 and then right then and there in front of us were the two stages being set up and i was like, "uy anong meron! shit, dito pala yun... tara nood tayo!". So we found a building with a basement parking and parked. While waiting for the event to start, we ordered cold treats from Ice Monster then hung out at Rolling Stones to play billiards. He taught me how to play now I know how! Hahaha!! *cough*
Uhm.... So.. We went towards the stages and stayed beside the Fire-Wind stage. There were two stages: Earth-Water and Fire-Wind representing the four elements of the earth. Earth stage will consist of reggae bands then the Fire stage will consist of the alternative bands. There were also VIP seats in front of the stage in which you would need a "free" ticket since the event is free admission. Behind the seats are barricades for the "slammers", a term for people who jump around and shit in rock concerts/events. At 7:30PM, the official time for the event, we tried to look for a comfortable place but then i felt the need to get some "free" seats so we could watch right in front of the stage. Then a few minutes later, i saw a couple of people holding ticket-like papers and giving them out. I told my friend that i'm going to talk to the guy and get us some tickets. Of course, with the use of my charm and shit, i got two red tickets and happily chose two seats at the middle. Then event started at 8PM and started off with ChicoSci, Rocksteddy, Giniling Festival, Rivermaya and following other famous rock bands and solo artists. Grabe, the punks behind the barricades almost tore it down because they wanted to get near the stage. We got so scared because a stampede might happen in no time. Good thing tho was that, a dozen big QC policemen controlled the crowd and we felt safe. Lol. We left at around 11:30PM when Paolo Santos was about to play and that Don needed to go home. I took more videos than pictures. Haha.... Damn, i wanted to finish the event! ah well....

And of course, YouTube won't let me upload my videos because they were "too long". Heh. I guess I just have to look for another host.
Toodles.
